Engine
The New BMW X5 is powered by a powerful, fuel-efficient three-liter six-cylinder petrol engine. With the highest output of 250kW/340hp and a peak torque of 450Nm, it can achieve a top speed of 243 km/h. The All-New BMW X5 will run in just 5.5 seconds from 0-100 km/h. Its fuel efficiency is illustrated by its substantially reduced fuel consumption of 9.2 l/100 km of 211/km carbon-emitting travel.
The formidable engine is complemented by a revamped Steptronic eight-speed transmission with improved shift dynamics. Power is transmitted over xDrive to all four wheels. Equipped with a double-wishbone front suspension, a five-link rear suspension, and an Adjustable M Suspension, the All-New BMW X5 chassis are explicitly designed to optimize its dynamic strength or comfort. As expected from BMW, the suspension of the All-New BMW X5 is designed to give Sheer Driving Pleasure the full agility offered by the Driving Experience Control’s Sports mode and performance personalization.
Interior Design of BMW X5 Malaysia
The New BMW X5’s interior carries the M Sport DNA, including the unique M leather steering wheel with shift paddles and the M stainless steel pedals. The door sill designed with the M logo exudes a sporty yet elegant appearence . The special electroplated finishing, which adds an electrifying touch of luxury to the interior, is another striking feature of the new BMW X5’s design language. It also incorporates extensive standard equipment such as the electrically-adjustable sport seats with Vernasca Leather upholstery and the Welcome Carpet full ambient lighting.
The all-new SAV also conveys a great sense of luxury and comfort with four-zone air conditioning, Rear Seat Entertainment Specialist, and the Panorama glass roof, making the interior more vivid. The glass roof’s transparent area has been increased by 30%. The cargo cover can now be electrically inserted into the luggage compartment floor, and both parts of the two-piece tailgate can now be opened and electrically closed with the simple touch of a button using the Comfort Access.
The new standard BMW Live Cockpit Professional with Navigation Professional operated by the latest BMW Operating System 7.0 is a standout feature of the All-New BMW X5’s interior. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional mixed the 12.3-inches display of information with an equally full central control panel with a touchscreen feature and an integrated user interface. The Data Display projects navigational material, the location of the vehicle, and any relevant forward traffic information. Along with the Current BMW Head-up Display, now with a viewing area, 70 percent greater than the predecessor, all relevant details can be displayed comfortably at eye level.
An extended range of driver assistance systems is always ready for the all-new SAV to move further in the direction of autonomous driving. The new BMW Personal CoPilot includes a Cruise Control System with Braking Feature, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Intervention, Frontal Collision Warning with Braking Intervention, which now also reacts to on-road cyclists, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and rear collision Prevention.
Exterior Design of BMW X5 Malaysia
Compared with its predecessor, the All-New BMW X5 has expanded in all dimensions while staying true to its iconic design and proportions. The vocabulary of landscape design now packs a more powerful punch and is complemented by crisp, straight lines and marked surfaces.
The All-New BMW X5’s sculpted bonnet conveys a rugged look, with the front overhang now being shorter than before. Taking center stage is a broad kidney grille sophisticatedly surrounded by a single surround, providing a more robust frontal appearance to the car. The new Adaptive LED headlights are sleek and wrap up within the vehicle’s front wings. The All-New BMW X5 also sports 20-inch light-alloy wheels with the M Sport package and M Sport brakes with fixed calipers with the BMW M emblem in a dark blue finish.
The All-New BMW X5 features stunning new wrap-around three-dimensional LED taillights at the rear. The big, rectangular tailpipes now affixed to the BMW X Series project an impression of formidable strength.
Also featuring an all-round growth in length, the All-New BMW X5 offers excellent flexibility and maximized comfort. The All-New BMW X5’s range has now grown from 36 mm to 4.922 mm, with an improvement in width from 66 mm to 2.004 mm. It now also boasts a higher roofline at 1,745 mm, a 19 mm step up from its predecessor. Even the wheelbase increased by 42 mm and is now measuring 2,975 mm.
X5 Colours
The All-New BMW X5 color scheme includes Mineral Gold, Black Sapphire, Artic Grey, and Phytonic Blue. The Vernasca Leather Upholstery is available for Mineral White and Black Sapphire in the classic Black with Aluminium Tetragon. Vernaccia Leather Coffee with Fineline Stripe Wood is available for both the Arctic Grey and Phytonic Violet. At the same time, Fineline Stripe Wood’s Vernasca Leather Cognac is available exclusively for Mineral White only.
