Honda Malaysia has officially unveiled Honda CRV 2021, bringing it into line with the updated version of the CRV launched in 2019. These changes apply to the Malaysia mainstream versions.

For its higher-spec models, Honda dropped its 2,4-liter I petrol engine, replacing it with a 1,5-liter VTEC Turbo engine, which churns 193 PS and 243 Nm. A 2.0-liter SOHC powers the Honda CR-V entry-level I engine, transferred from the predecessor, pumping out 154 PS and 189 Nm.
All drivers are mated to the continuously variable transmission (CVT) of the organization, with the drive being sent either to the front or all four wheels, depending on the specification.
Interior Design

Exterior Design
The 2021 CR-V is one of the larger “compact SUVs,” as Honda usually does a better job than most of optimizing every bit of interior space possible. While the total length and width of its exterior are average for the market, its passenger and cargo capacity is better than almost any competitor. The 60/40-split reclining back seat offers the right space and convenience for even large adults. In contrast, a rear-facing car seat fits comfortably in the middle place — even with larger passengers coming upfront. Honda also has LATCH anchors available in all three seating locations. No matter the seating location or the size of the open sunroof, the headroom is ample.
Exterior styling changes here include a new front bumper with broader fog lamp openings, which is further accentuated by a wide-ranging chrome trim element that gives the CR-V a “mustache” of sorts. The grille was also made between the headlamps to look more pronounced and could have a black finish in place of the regular chrome.
Moving to the left, the dark-tinted taillights have new graphics, and the chrome garnish just below the window has also been darkened. The apron has been restyled further downward to look flatter than before and is supported by trapezoidal-shaped exhaust finishers.

Overall, Honda CRV 2021 is more advanced and powerful than previous models. This is more convenient, there are less wind and road noise, and the low-end strength of the turbo engine contributes to smoother, less strained sound when driven around town. Such points do apply primarily in comparison to other rivals, and indeed, the CR-V is one of the best compact driving crossovers.
